Introduction
Texas Hold ‘Em is the most popular poker game in both the online and land-based gambling worlds. It offers fast-paced poker action for players with all types of bankrolls and belonging to all skill levels. However, the game can be quite complicated, so casino operators have recently introduced Casino Hold ‘Em. This is a simplified version of traditional Texas Hold ‘Em, as players are provided with the same poker-playing experience by without reading or bluffing players.
With a simple format, Casino Hold ‘Em is ideal for players who are just learning the basics of online poker and those who are looking for a quick game of poker without all of the frills of the traditional game.
Rules
The game begins just like any other Texas Hold ‘Em game, except there are only two competitors: the dealer and the player. After placing your ante wager, you and the dealer are both dealt two cards (only one of the dealer’s cards is face-up). You can choose to fold your hand (losing your ante bet) or call (doubling your ante bet). After this round of betting, if you choose to continue, three ‘flop’ cards are dealt, which can be used to complete both yours and the dealer’s hand. Players can choose to fold or call at this point – and the two more community cards are dealt (the turn and the river).
At the end of this round, your hand is compared to the dealers and the winning hand is determined. In most variations of Casino Hold ‘Em, the dealer must have a pair of 4s to qualify. If they do not qualify, you automatically win the hand. If your hand beats the dealer’s qualifying hand, then you win a prize based on the payout table. If the dealer’s hand wins, then you lose all of your bets.

Strategy
The winning strategy for Casino Hold ‘Em closely resembles any strategy that you would employ to win a basic game of Texas Hold ‘Em. The main difference is that you do not have to consider your opponents behaviour to work out what they may or may not have. You only focus on your own hand.
As such, you call all each round if you have a pair, straight draw (3 to 4 cards that would complete a straight), flush draw (3 to 4 cards of the same suit) and high-ranking face cards like Ace, King and Queen. This way, you’re only betting on hands that have the potential to win and folding everything else. This is the same strategy that most professionals employ when playing traditional Texas Hold ‘Em and it will serve you well in Casino Hold ‘Em also.
If you’re on a budget, it is advised that you fold low pairs if they have not been dealt to you initially. This gives you a wider range of hands that you can comfortably fold, stretching your bankroll much wider when you play this popular online casino game.
Variations
Since Casino Hold ‘Em is, in itself, a variation of another game, there are currently no variations available. The only way in which Casino Hold ‘Em will vary is in terms of the paytables offered by different online casino developers. If you’re looking for a bit more action, we would suggest playing Texas Hold ‘Em at one of Microgaming’s online poker rooms. You can take what you’ve learned playing Casino Hold ‘Em and apply it to traditional games, in which you compete against up to nine other players.
Some casino developers offer progressive versions of Casino Hold ‘Em. These games require players to place a $1 side wager in hopes to hitting a progressive jackpot prize worth thousands of dollars.
Software
Casino Hold ‘Em is relatively new to the gambling world, as it was only created with the advent of online casinos. As such, there are only a few operators that offer Casino Hold ‘Em titles. These include PlayTech, Microgaming, Net Entertainment and Real Time Gaming. Both Net Entertainment and Real Time Gaming offer progressive versions of this game, which award players with a jackpot worth tens of thousands of dollars if they hit a Royal Flush
