Craps is one of the most exciting casino games, due to the numerous outcomes that are possible with a roll of the dice. With the great variety of bets available, the game is complex enough for a veteran and can be simple enough for a first-timer.

To begin the game, the Shooter and the players select a bet. The Shooter then starts the round with the come out roll. If they roll a 7 or 11, the round ends. If they role a 2, 3 or 13 (also known as craps), then round ends also. If they roll any number from 4 to 10, then the number rolled becomes the point and the round continues. The dealer at the table then places a puck on that number and the shooter must continue to roll the dice until they hit the point number again or rolls a 7. When the point number is finally rolled, the round ends and a new Shooter takes over. However, in online Craps, the shooter always remains the same.

There are two main types of bets than players can make in Craps: line bets and come bets.

Pass Line Bets are the simplest bets, as wagering on the pass line is betting on the possibility that a 7 or an 11 with be rolled. If that is the outcome on the come out roll, then you win double your money. If the shooter rolls a 4 to 10 and establishes a point, then betting on the pass line means that you want them to roll the point number again. Don’t Pass Line Bets are the opposite, as you are betting that they will crap out by rolling a 2, 3 or 12 on the come out roll. If you make a don’t pass bet after a point has been established, then you’re betting on the possibility that the shooter will roll a 7 before hitting the point again.

Come Bets are made after a point is established. Exactly like a pass line bet, with a come bet, you’re wagering on the possibility that a 7 or 11 will be rolled. If the Shooter craps out, then all come bets lose.
With Don’t Come Bets, the players wins if a 2 or 3 is rolled. If a 12 is rolled, then it results in a tie. If any number from 4 to 10 is rolled, then a 7 must be rolled before the point number is hit again, in order for this bet to win.

There are many other types of bets in Craps, including Single Roll Bets, where the player bets on the possibility that the Shooter will roll a specific number or range of numbers. Using single roll bets, you can bet on Snake Eyes (2), Any Craps (2, 3 or 12) or almost any other single number or combination you can think of. Craps players can also make Multi-Roll Bets, where the player bets on the outcome of more than one roll. A good example of a multi roll bet is a Hard Way, wherein the player bets that the Shooter will roll two identical values equaling 4, 6, 8 or 10 before rolling a 7. It is commonly advised to stick to line and come bets, before moving on to more complex wagers.
